Since I'm not big on detailed technical reviews of gear, I decided why even bother attempting to write one. Instead I've opted for posting a simple gallery to show what the Fujifilm XF 35MM F/2 is capable of. If you google for reviews of the 35mm F/2 you will find a lot of them (by people who actually do technical reviews well) heaping tons of praise on this lens. My conclusion is pretty much in line with all those positive ones. A few thoughts on this lens before jumping into the gallery. The first thing you will notice when un-boxing is how small and lightweight it is. You could have this lens attached all day to any Fuji body and your shoulders/neck wouldn't know any better. Now, a little about the performance. This lens is sharp! From wide open to about F/8, you're going to get excellent shots even with the camera set at different ISO settings. Most of the shots in this gallery were converted from RAW to JPEG in camera (X PRO2). If you're a Fujifilm user, you know just how wonderful their JPEG files can be. Like most Fujifilm lenses it's a little more expensive than its counterparts, but the build quality and the image quality produced from this lens is much more than most of those counterparts. Bokeh is also very smooth. Again, I wanted to keep this one pretty short. Check out more of the shots I took with the XF 35MM F/2 lens after the jump!
